Technology

Endodontics is a precision specialty. The structures we work with are small, complex, and often hidden from plain view. The technology we use allows us to see more clearly, diagnose more accurately, and treat more effectively, all with greater comfort and better outcomes for our patients. At Advanced Root Canal Specialists, technology is a meaningful part of the patient experience.

Rotary Endodontics

Rotary Endodontics

Rotary endodontic instruments are small, flexible, electrically driven tools used to clean and shape the root canals during treatment. Compared to manual instruments, procedures using rotary endodontics are faster, more precise, allowing us to better able to navigate the complex curves and branches of a tooth's root system.

For patients, that means a more efficient procedure, more thorough cleaning, and a more comfortable overall experience.

Surgical Microscopes

Surgical Microscopes

Surgical microscopes give our endodontists a highly magnified, brilliantly lit view of the treatment area—details that are simply not visible to the naked eye. For procedures like apicoectomy, retreatment, and crack diagnosis, this level of precision is a necessity.

Microscope-assisted treatment means more accurate diagnosis, more thorough care, and better outcomes for our patients.

CBCT Cone Beam Technology

CBCT Cone Beam Technology

Cone beam CT imaging gives our endodontists a three-dimensional view of the tooth, root canals, and surrounding bone—detail that a standard x-ray simply can't provide. This level of precision is especially valuable for complex cases, trauma, resorption, and retreatment, where hidden fractures or missed canals can affect outcomes.

CBCT allows us to diagnose accurately and plan treatment with confidence before we begin.

Cracked Tooth Detection Technology

Cracked Tooth Detection Technology

Cracks in teeth are notoriously difficult to find. They don't always appear on standard x-rays, and they can cause symptoms that come and go without an obvious cause. At Advanced Root Canal Specialists, we use a combination of CBCT cone beam imaging, fiber optic transillumination, and dye testing to locate cracks that other methods miss. Together, these tools give our endodontists a complete picture before any treatment begins.

Digital X-Rays & Sensors

Digital X-Rays & Sensors

Digital x-rays give our endodontists a detailed view of the tooth and surrounding bone with significantly less radiation than traditional film. Images appear on screen in moments, allowing our team to assess your situation quickly and explain what we're seeing while you're in the chair. For endodontic care, where precision diagnosis is everything, this technology is an essential first step in every evaluation.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera is a small, pen-sized device that captures detailed images inside the mouth. It allows our endodontists to show you exactly what they're seeing, whether it's a crack, an area of concern, or the progress of treatment,  in real time on a chairside screen.

Seeing is understanding, and that clarity helps our patients feel informed and confident about their treatment decisions.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is a safe, mild sedative inhaled through a small breathing mask during your procedure. It produces a calm, relaxed feeling while keeping you fully conscious and able to communicate with our team. After your procedure, we switch the inhalant to pure oxygen to allow the effects to wear off quickly. Most patients can drive themselves home afterward. Nitrous oxide is a simple, effective option for patients who want to take the edge off without deeper sedation.

Digital Records

Digital Records

Digital records allow our team to store, access, and share your patient information quickly and securely. For endodontic patients, this means seamless communication with your referring dentist, accurate documentation of your treatment history, and faster, more efficient appointments.

No paperwork to repeat, no delays waiting for records to transfer. Everything your care team needs is accurate, up to date, and readily available.
